Sophomore First Baseman Mateos Melkesian led the Cuesta Baseball to a sweep of Western State Conference rival Los Angeles Pierce.  Over the weeklong series, "Melky" went 6-for-11, including a pair of doubles, while both scoring and driving in three runs. The Cougars hosted the Brahmas on Tuesday and Saturday, while also travelling to Woodland Hills on Thursday.  In the opener, he went 2-for-3, while scoring twice and driving in a run on a Sacrifice Fly.  He enjoyed his best game of the week in the Cougars' road trip to the Greater LA Area. He went 3-for-5 with two doubles, while scoring a run and driving in three more Back home on Saturday, he went 1-for-3 as the Cougars completed the sweep.
