Freshman Men's Basketball Star Stef Korfas has accepted a scholarship to Limestone College in Gaffney, South Carolina. Korfas graduated from San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara), but before coming to Cuesta he spent a Redshirt season at Concordia University in Oregon. Once back on the Central Coast, Korfas took control of the Cougars' offense and was named to the 2019 All Western State Conference First Team. Korfas joined backcourt-mate Jacques Safra to give Cuesta one of the best backcourts in the State. Korfas ran the show for the Cougars and his quickness and stellar ball control helped open up Cuesta's offense. He led the team with 4.0 assists per game, while also scoring 14.6 points per game. He netted a stellar 43.6% of his shots from beyond the arch and was nearly automatic from the Charity Stripe. He converted 83.2% of his free throws for the 10th best mark in Cuesta History (min 70 FTM).
Limestone is a NCAA Divsion II school and plays in the South Atlantic Conference. Korfas joins a Saint squad that finished 4-24 this year and 3-17 against the SAC.
