Coach Rusty Blair's retirement will have to wait, at least, one more game as the Cougars earned a playoff berth as the 18th-seed in the 2025 Southern California Regional Playoffs.  This marks the 21st playoff berth for the Cougars under Coach Blair and the program's 26th post-season since the program began 60 years ago in 1965-66.  This Wednesday's game marks the second time the Cougars and Lancers have met in the post-season.  In 2019, Cougars, as the 17th-seed, beat Pasadena, 70-62, in their first-round match-up, however Cuesta was stopped in the second round in their sixth post-season meeting against Citrus- Cuesta's most frequent playoff opponent.  The Owls, who are the #2-seed this year, await either the Lancers or Cougars in the next round on March 1.
