Freshman Swimmer Conner Rocha led the Cougars to a team title at the 45th Finis Cuesta Swim and Dive Invitational by posting two new Cuesta records. Rocha opened the meet by breaking Ethan Blum's record in the 50-butterfly, set in 2022, with a time of :22.97. The men's 50-butterfly has only been a championships event since 2015, but Rocha knocked almost a second (.83) off Blum's former standard. Rocha added another event title and another Cuesta record in the 100-butterfly. He eclipsed Dom Magliari's 2013 record of :51.32 by 17-hundreths of a second with a time of :51.15. Rocha claimed two of the Cougars' three new school records on the weekend and finished 4th in the meet with 78 individual points.
