Sophomore Aquatic Star Zachary Tucker has accepted a scholarship to San Jose State. Tucker was selected to the 2019 All-Western State Conference Second Team and led Cuesta Men's Water Polo a Western State Conference title and its 41st straight playoff berth.  The Cougars were 26-9 on the season and Tucker was 3rd on the team with 51 goals, which boosted his career total to 101 tallies as the 31st member of Cuesta's Century Club.  Tucker, who was a 2018 All-WSC Honorable mention pick as a freshman, came to Cuesta from Paso Robles High as a pure shooter, but developed into a tenacious and physical defender and a strong interior player.  Tucker was also enjoying a strong swim season, prior to the suspension of spring sports, and currently holds the program's 50-breaststroke record (:27.63).  His time of 1:03.80 in the 100-breaststroke also led this year's team.  

San Jose State plays in the Golden Coast Conference and is coached by CCCAA Hall of Famer Bruce Watson. Tucker joins a Spartan squad that was 8-19 overall and 5th in GCC.
