All American Center  Jack Felsted has committed to play water polo for San Jose State next year.  Felsted, the 2019 Western State Conference Player of the Year, anchored the Cougars' offense this season and was a finalist for CCCAA State Player of the Year.   Felsted was the focus of the Cougar's offense and led Cuesta with 78 goals on the season, despite missing seven games to injury.  He absorbed a tremendous punishment, because opponents had to use multiple defenders in an attempt to contain him as he led the Cougars to their 41st straight playoff berth. Felsted concluded his Cuesta career with 107 goals in just 38 games over two seasons.  He is the 24th Cuesta player to be named the Western State Conference Player of the Year over the past 41 seasons, additionally he was also named to the 2019 CCCAA All State First Team and earned All America honors.  

Felsted came to Cuesta from Golden West High in Visalia and shall join Cuesta teammates Mason Smith and Zachary Tucker at San Jose State. The Spartans play in the Golden Coast Conference and are coached by CCCAA Hall of Famer Bruce Watson. Felsted joins a Spartan squad that was 8-19 overall and 5th in GCC.
