Cuesta Men's Water Polo shall host the Cuesta Classic this Friday and Saturday.  The nine-team tournament boasts six teams in the State Top 10 and opens at 8 AM on Friday, although Cuesta will not hit the water until the second game of the day.  The #3-ranked Cougars open the tournament against #5 Long Beach (9:10) and also play #2 Golden West (4:10) in the afternoon.  On Saturday, Cuesta will take the morning off and open against #8 American River (1:20 PM), before playing the tournament finale against #6 Orange Coast (6 PM).  

Last week, the Aqua-cats travelled to the Mt SAC Tournament in Walnut and split their four-game schedule.  The Cougars suffered their first two losses of the season on Friday, when they fell to both #2 Golden West, 10-7, and #1 West Valley, 19-10.  Cuesta returned to form on the tournament's second day by beating their host #9 Mt San Antonio in barnburner, 16-14, and unranked Sierra, 13-10.
