Sophomore Harrier Anthony Erikson entered his sophomore campaign at Cuesta as a two-time CCCAA State Qualifier, after reaching the penultimate meet in both cross country and track & field last year, but he has staked out big goals early in second season.  This year, Erikson has entered and won four races and, after winning the WSC Preview by almost ten seconds, he is the current favorite in the State.  Erikson cleared the 4-mile course at Oxnard College in 20:15.88 and all five members Cougars' scoring team crossed the line in the Top 80 to claim 8th place as a team.   

Cuesta's Men's & Women's Cross-Country teams travel to Point Loma for their final regular season race of the campaign.  The Bautista Invitational Course is set around Liberty Station.
