Men's Cross Country is prepping for its first big test of the season, when the team travels to Rancho Cucamonga for the Southern California Preview. The event will be attended by all the top teams in Southern California and allow the Cougars to gauge where they need to go to return to the CCCAA State Meet in November. The men's race is set to start at 11 AM.
Last week the Cougars competed in the Oxnard Invitational for a competitive tune-up for the SoCal Preview. Cuesta cruised to an 8th place finish as a team, but also landed two of their five harriers among the Top 50. Freshman Weston Greenelsh paced the team with 38th place (22:47.10), while fellow Rookie Nick Yorklanded a little over ten seconds and five places behind him in 43rd place (22:58.05). Freshmen JP Walsh (54th), David Maya-Shelton (70th) and Aidan Gibson (92nd) completed the Cougars' scoring team.
