Cuesta Harriers Set for 2024 CCCAA State Championships In Two Weeks

Cuesta Cross Country's men's and women's teams shall both send competitors to the 2024 CCCAA State Championships on November 23 (10/11 AM) at Woodward Park in Fresno.

Cuesta Women's team is fresh off a 13th place finish at the 2024 Southern Regional Meet and should be healthy and fit to chase a title this season.  2024 WSC Champion Madeline Fletcher and 2023 all-Regional Harrier Elle Casselman are both title threats, while Freshman Serena Stamford has spent all season hot on their heels in every race.  All three earned all-conference honors this season and have the potential for more individual accolades at the State Meet.  The key to the Cougars' team success shall come from the back of their pack with Quinn Dubrul, Matilda Bravante and Sydney Culp Dubrul and Culp both finished in the Top 50 at the WSC Championship, just missing all-conference honors, while Bravante, one of two true freshmen on the team, has steadily improved all season and landed just one spot behind Dubrul at the Regional Meet.    Fletcher and Casselman are both former Cuesta College Athletes of the Year, but the key to the Cougars success as a team will come from the back of the pack on November 23

Cuesta Men's Cross Country shall send Freshmen Weston Greenelsh and JP Walsh to the 2024 CCCAA State Cross Country Championship on November 23 (11 AM) at Woodward Park in Fresno.  Greenelsh has been the Cougars' top harrier all season and has already picked up both all-Western State Conference First Team and all-Regional First Team honors.  He shall carry the Cougars' hope for the program's first State Champion since Sean McDermott in 2016.
