Softball opened the 2020 season with a crushing sweep of San Bernardino Valley, 18-14 and 16-1. The Cougars' offense came out swinging and their 34 runs on the day were powered by 39 hits from 14 players. Cuesta began the season trailing the host Wolverines, 9-0, after the first inning of the first game, but took the lead in the 3rd inning and never trailed again. In Game 2, the Cougars posted 10 runs in their first at-bat and completed the run-rule victory with one-out in the 4th inning. The Cougars, 2-0, on the season, play another doubleheader this Saturday at LA Mission (12/2 PM).
