Women's Basketball dropped its Grossmont Tournament opener against Consumnes River, which is currently the #12-ranked team in the Northern California Region, 69-52.  Freshman Guard Reese Pasternik (pict-L) led Cuesta with 21 points, while Sophomore Sydney Howe (pict-R) also filled up the box score.  Howe scored 12 points, while posting team-highs with eight rebounds and three assists.  The loss snapped the Cougars' five-game winning streak and dropped the Cougars to 9-3 on the season.

Cuesta has two more games left in the tournament.  The Cougars face tournament host Grossmont on Monday (5 PM) and close the event against MiraCosta on Tuesday (3 PM)
