Women's Basketball, after dropping the tournament opener to Cosumnes River, bounced back to win their next two games.  The Cougars took down tournament host Grossmont, 69-55, last Monday and finished the event against fellow San Diego County foe, MiraCosta, 75-60.  Sophomore Sydney Howe led the Cougars' with 15 points in the win over host Griffins, while Sophomore Forward Abigail Lacy paced Cuesta with 19 points in the tournament finale to push them past the Spartans.  The wins moved the Cougars overall record to 11-3 on the season, which marks the program's best start to a season since their 2015 playoff season.

The Cougars are back in action with a roadtrip to play Harntell in Salinas on December 29 (4 PM).  They do not play at home until January 13, when the host Ventura for a Western State Conference contest.
