Cuesta Wrestling opened the 2022 campaign fresh off a Top 10 finish at the 2021 CCCAA State Championships. The Cougars finished right in the middle of the pack at the season-opening Sac City Tournament with a 7th place finish out of 13 teams. Cuesta brought ten wrestlers in six different weight classes to the event and posted a combined 15-17 record, while boasting three place winners.
