Cuesta Wrestling travelled to Lemoore for their second tournament on Saturday and finished 15 in the 20-team field, despite bringing a small squad. 2021 State Place Winner Sami Barakat was, again, the only Cuesta Grappler to place. Barakat finished 8th at 165 with a 3-2 record.  Freshman Jasun Bautista, at 157, also posted a 3-2 record but did not place. Returner Henry Catalan finished 2-2 in the same division as Barakat, while heavyweight Sherman Barney matched his 2-2 mark against the big boys.  Freshmen Cael Cooper and Gabriel Rivera each picked up a win in the tournament. 

The Cougars compete in their first SouthEast Conference Dual on Friday (6 PM) at East LA.  The grapplers shall stay on the road for the Santa Ana Tournament on Saturday.
