Wrestling hosted its third SouthEast Conference Dual, over as many nights, and fell to #5 Bakersfield, 44-12.  The night began well for the Cougars as Freshman Gabriel Rivera opened the match at 125 and took down the Renegades' Richard Martinez at 1:42 in the first period.   Unfortunely, Bakersfield won the next six bouts, including three pins, a pair of technical falls and one major decision.  The Renegades held a 32-6 lead, when Cuesta Freshman Leon Tippett gave the Cougars another win by pinning the Renegades Armando Medrano at 2:43 in the first period. The Cougars then forfeited at 197 and lost at 285 to close out the night, 44-12.  The loss dropped the Cougars to 2-3 in SEC Dual schedule. 

In the last six days the Cougars have competed in three duals and the Meathead Mover Invitational, so the team deserves some time off to regroup.  Cuesta shall take the next 16 days away from competition to train and get healthy for the post-season.  The Cougars return to action on November 11 for the SouthEast Conference Tournament at Bakersfield.
