Grapplers Finish 11th In Santa Ana- Cervantes and Davidson Place

Wrestling travelled South last Saturday for the always grueling Santa Ana Tournament.  The Cuesta Grapplers battled a dozen programs and came out in 11th place, but also had some bright spots.  Freshman Christian Davidson and Sophomore Andres Cervantes place 4th and 5th, respectively, while the Cougars eight-man team posted a combined 12-17 record on the day. Davidson finished 4th in the 197-division with a record of 3-2, Cervantes went 4-2 on the weekend to take 5th place.  

The Cougars return to their SouthEast Conference Schedule with a pair of mid-week dual meets, before turning North for the Modesto Tournament.  The team travels to Victorville on Wednesday (3 PM) for a SouthEast Conference match against host Victor Valley, while also adding a non-SEC bout with Palomar.  On Saturday, they turn North for the Modesto Tournament on Saturday.
