Wrestling open the season strong with a 3rd place finish at the Sac City Tournament.  Eight members of the Cougars' 18-man squad found their way to the podium.  The Cougars did not win a division title, Freshmen Dominic Marquez (125), Grant Eklund (157) and Chance Evans (197) all took Silver, while Marshall Beecham (165) claimed the Bronze.  Cuesta competed in nine of the ten divisions, while placing in six of them and posting a cumulative 43-30 record on the weekend.  Freshmen Daimen Rodriguez (141) just missed the Bronze with a 4th place finish, while Luke Vanbrabant (149) joined Kodie Cooks (165) and Preston Scharf (165) with consolation titles and 5th place.  

The Grapplers are back in action this weekend with the West Hills Tournament in Lemoore.
