Cuesta Wrestling begins its SouthEast Conference dual schedule this Friday (5 PM) at East Los Angeles College, before continuing Southward for the Santa Ana Tournament on Saturday.  The Cougars went 1-5 in duals last season but have already demonstrated at their first two events that their current line-up is strong throughout all 10 divisions.  

Last week, the Cougars placed 11th at the 20-team West Hills Tournament in Lemoore.  The Cougars brought 14 grapplers to compete in eight divisions, while posting a combined 21-26, including two place winners.  Freshman Chance Evans earned his second straight Silver at 197, while posting a 4-1 mark.  Freshman Grant Eklund also earned his second straight trip to the medal stand, after he claimed Third Place with. a 5-1 record at 157.  Fellow Freshman Marshall Beecham also picked up three wins (against two losses) on the day, but just missed a second straight trip to the medal stand.
