Freshman Wrestler Preston Scharf enjoyed a huge weekend in front of the Cuesta Faithful.  Cuesta Wrestling hosted a pair of SouthEast Conference matches on Friday, before hosting the 21st Meathead Mover Invitational on Saturday and Scharf dominated both days.  On Friday, he made quick work of both his opponents with two wins in the first period, while logging just two minutes and 20 seconds of mat time.   He beat Victor Valley's Ricardo Valdez, at 165, in 53 seconds and moved up a division take down Moorpark's Alex Lopez at 174 in 1:53.  On Saturday, he dropped back to 165 for the Meathead Mover Invitational and went 3-0 to win the division.  His performance at the meet also earned him Meathead Mover Award of Excellence.  Scharf is currently 16-1 on the season.
