Women's Soccer hosted the Moorpark for a Western State Conference contest, and the visiting Raiders claimed the victory, 4-0. The win moved the Raiders to the top of the WSC Standings in a tie with #20 Ventura. The Cougars and Raiders battled back-and-forth over the first half, with Cuesta Goalkeeper Erica Enriquez turning away five, of her game-high seven, shots, before Moorpark found the back of the net halfway through the period. After the intermission, the Raiders broke through for three more goals, including a pair from Sophomore Forward Makayla Swain to break open the game. The setback drops the Cougars to 1-8 overall and 0-4 against the WSC loop.
The Cougars are on the road this Friday (2 PM) to Santa Barbara City as they continue their first swing through the WSC.
