Women's Soccer spends this week on their home pitch with local rival Allan Hancock and fellow Western State Conference foe Oxnard both making the trip to San Luis Obispo. The 18th-ranked Bulldogs shall make the trip from Santa Maria on Tuesday (4 PM) as they try to earn a season sweep over the Cougars for the first time since 2012. The Bulldogs claimed their first-round meeting convincingly, 6-0, but the Cougars have been playing better during their second swing through the WSC Circuit. The Cuesta Kickers complete their mini-homestand on Friday (4 PM) when Oxnard comes to town. The Condors beat the Cougars, 3-0, in the first round, but remain just one-game ahead of the Cougars in the WSC Standings.
The Cougars ended last week with a loss at Ventura, 2-0, which was three goals better than their first-round setback to the Pirates. Ventura fell out of the State's Top 20 ranking last week; however, the Bucs were still one of four teams in the seven-team WSC-North to earn votes in the poll. Cuesta is currently 1-11 overall and 0-7 against the WSC circuit.
