Women's Soccer improved to 3-1-1 with a win, 1-0, over visiting Los Angeles Valley. The Cougars scored the game's only goal just four minutes into the contest, when Midfielder Oneal Hunt found a streaking Payton Lapp in stride for the attacking tally. The two teams battled back and forth for the remaining 86 minutes and offered up a combined 23 more shots, but the scoreboard took the rest of the day off. Cuesta Goalkeeper Shae Mansfield made her first start of the season and earned the shutout for Cuesta, while collecting six saves. Cuesta is currently on a three-game winning streak, which is the program's longest run of victories since opening the 2019 season with seven straight wins en route to the playoffs.
Cuesta will take its "most beautiful game" to the Capitol this weekend for the team's final two non-Western State Conference contests. They shall play at Folsom Lake on Friday (6 PM) and Sacramento City on Saturday Morning (9 AM).
