Cuesta Kickers Prepare for a Two-Game Homestand

Cuesta Women's Soccer, after a weeklong bye in the schedule, is back on its home pitch for two matches this week. The Cougars shall complete their first swing though the Western State Conference, when they host local rival Allan Hancock on Tuesday (4 PM).  On Friday (4 PM), the kickers get a re-match against Los Angeles Pierce to open the second round.  The Brahmas stole a victory from the Cougars, 2-0, in their 2024 WSC Opener, but the Cuesta is a little more battle-hardened after facing Top 20 teams, #12 Santa Barbara and #13 Ventura, in two of their past three games.  The Cougars are 4-6-2 overall, but 1-4 in the stacked Western State Conference.  Currently, Cuesta and Oxnard, who the Cougars beat, 5-1, in the first round of WSC play, are the only members of the WSC North-Division not to receive votes in any of this season's three CCCSIA Polls.
