Women's Swimming heads to Mt SAC Invitational, Porter Takes Meet Points Title

Women's Swimming heads to its first big event of the season this weekend in Walnut, California.  The four-woman team's talent should help the team's talent stand out more than the two previous mini-meets.  The Cougars have finished last in their past two five-team mini-meets, because of the sheer numbers of scorers from other teams drowned out the Cougars' high placing points.  Returning All Americans Chloe Porter (pict) and Anna Kreowski join Redshirt-Freshman Ryan Rascon and true Freshman Presley Acosta in the lanes, but the quartet can only swim three individual events each and four of the five relays over the three-day, 24-event meet.

The Cougars competed in their first Western State Conference Mini Meet last Friday in Bakersfield.  Cuesta took 5th place in the meet, despite Chloe Porter leading all individual scorers with 24 points.  Porter won the 100-backstroke (1:00.53) and took 4th place in the 100-breastroke and 50 and 100-freesrtyles, while Kreowski was 3rd in points with 19.
