Cuesta Track & Field teams took last week off from competition and have two events scheduled for the week.  On Friday the Cougars travel a short distance down to Santa Maria for the Henry Kirk Invitational at Allan Hancock College.  The whole team should be available to compete in the meet.  The next day, Cuesta will pack up their harriers for the Oxy Distance Carnival (9 AM) at Occidental College in Los Angeles.  The Cougars distance team has a lot of potential this season, after qualifying nine runners for the 2023 CCCAA State Cross Country Championship in the Fall.  All-State Harriers Summer Gelman (pict) and Elle Casselman join Freshman Brinley Ewen to lead a talented women's team, while All-State First Teamer Anthony Erikson shall pace the men.
