
Cuesta College Athletics Department is proud to announce this month's selections for the Cuesta Athlete of the Month. This distinct honor recognizes two Cuesta College Athletes each month during the school year who have performed to the highest standards in their sport. Our female selection for April is Track Athlete Kiana Marie Lambert
Sophomore Track & Field Athlete Kiana Marie Lambert was all over the 2025 Western State Conference Track & Field Championships. She competed in four individual events and two relays, while amassing a team-high 27 points, including 19 individual points. Over the weekend, Lambert posted her top marks of the season in all four of her individual events. In the Long Jump, where she won her lone individual title with a leap of 17-6.75, her winning jump also moved her into 6th place on the Cougars' all-time leader board. She also took the Bronze in the Triple Jump, while flying 34-3.5 for 10th all time. Lambert scored the rest of her points on the track. She was part of two 4th place relays, the 4x100 and 4x400, before finishing 7th in the 100-meters and 9th the 200-meters. Her time of :12.81 in the 100-meters and 26.75 in the 200-meters also moved her into 9th and 8th, respectively, all time at Cuesta College.
Women's Track & Field, led by Lambert, shall advance both individually and as a team to the CCCAA Regional and State events over the first three weeks of May.
