Cuesta Thrower Kiera Taylor has been selected as Cuesta's ESPN1280 Athlete of the Week. Taylor qualified for the State Meet after taking a Silver in the Discus at the CCCAA Southern Regional Finals in Mission Viejo.  Taylor's medal-worthy toss of 143' 1" earned her a spot at State and moved her into second place all-time on Cuesta Track & Field's Leader Board.  Taylor also posted a season-best mark of 37-5.25 in the Shot Put and is an alternate for the Shot Put, after taking 7^th in the event.  It was also the 9^th best toss in Cuesta history.  Track appears to be Taylor's best sport this year, but she also earned all-Conference honors in volleyball and helped women's basketball into the playoffs.  Cuesta Track & Field travels to San Mateo this Friday and Saturday for the 2025 CCCAA State Championships.
