Cuesta Coach Whitney Meyer to be Inducted into the King City High School Hall of Fame

Cuesta Women's Volleyball Coach Whitney Meyer is set to be inducted into the King City High School Athletic Hall of Fame on August 31.  Coach Meyer starred for the King City High team as a four-time all-Mission Trail League selection and three-time all-Monterey County choice.  Meyer matriculating to UCLA and completing her degree in Economics and playing club volleyball for the Bruins.  She moved to SLO County to continue her career and spent two seasons as an all-Conference Spiker for the Cougars.  After completing her eligbilty, Meyer joined the coaching staff the next season and took the reins as Head Coach of the program in 2017.  Under Meyer's guidance, the Cougars are 60-66 over the past six years and in 2021 they reached their first playoff berth in 14 seasons.  Coach Meyer won't have too much time to celebrate, her Cougars are scheduled to play a doubleheader in Lemoore the day after the induction ceremony.
