Women's Water Polo reached the 5th straight season but were knocked out in the first round for the fourth straight year. The Cougars finished 3rd in the Western State Conference and earned the 8th-seed in the 2023 CCCAA Regional Playoffs. Cuesta opened against Pacific Coast Conference Champion Miramar, who dropped to the 9th-seed, after losing an overtime to the Cougars, 12-11, on October 21. Cuesta jumped out to a 2-1 lead in the opening quarter, but the Jets took control of the game in the second quarter. Miramar went on an 8-1 run leading into halftime and, despite scoring four of the last five goals of the contest, the Cougars were eliminated from the post-season, 12-9. The Cougars finished the season on a three-game slide and posted an overall season record of 13-16.
