Cuesta Women's Water Polo currently resides just outside the CCCAA State Top 10 in 11th place in the polls but is in position to win their home tournament this weekend.  The Poloists picked up a pair of decisive wins today and has two games scheduled against club teams tomorrow.  Cuesta claimed a critical victory over #9 Saddleback, 8-7, because the Bobcats, and three other members of their conference, currently reside in the State's Top 10.  Cuesta also took down unranked Las Positas in today's nightcap, with a convincing victory, 14-2.  Cuesta is currently 12-8 overall on the season.  

Cuesta's Returning All-WSC selections, Driver Maddie Corrigan and Goalie Aubrie Kirkby Tatro (pict), led the Cougars on offense and defense, respectively.  Corrigan scored a team-high seven goals on the day, after posting a "Hat Trick" against the 9th-ranked Gauchos and tallying four more goals against Las Positas.  Kirkby Tatro posted a season-high 15 saves against Saddleback, before adding eight more against Las Positas.
