Sophomore Erin Casselman (pict-L) and Freshman Summer Gelman (pict-R) are the only harriers to start a race for the Cougars this season, luckily for the Cougars they are two of the best.  Neither runner has finished outside of the Top 20 in their three races and after a strong showing at the SoCal Preview they appear to be shoe-ins to reach the end of year Regional and State Championships.  Casselman finished 15th at the "Preview", but continued her trend of lopping off huge chunks of time each race.  She dropped 44 seconds from her first and second start and another 33 seconds last weekend.  Gelman finished 20th last weekend, but has followed Casselman's lead.  She has dropped almost two and half minutes off her 4th place time at the season-openning Tour de Cuesta.  

The Cougars' Duo returns to action on September 29th with the Western State Conference Preview, which shall feature all the teams in the conference three weeks before the 2023 Western State Conference Championship on October 20.
