Women's Cross Country finished 6th as a team at the 2024 Western State Conference Cross Country Championships and had the entire scoring team finish within the Top 50 competitors. 2021 Cuesta College Athlete of the Year Madeline Fletcher (pict) crushed the competition and led the Cougars with a championship performance. Fletcher's winning time of 18:08.5 dropped more than a minute off her best time of the year, and she became the first Cuesta Harrier to win a WSC Title since Miranda Daschian in 2016. She claimed her title over Runner-up Lilit Arakelyn of Glendale, who trailed her by six seconds, while teammates Elle Casselman and Serena Stamford joined her among the Top 50 finishers. Casselman, Cuesta College's 2023 Athlete of the Year, returned to action for the first time in more than a month and claimed 16th place (20:03.5), while Stamford finished 24th (20:35.2) and joined Casselman on the all-WSC Second Team. Veteran Track Stars Quinn Dubrul and Sydney Culp completed the Cougars' scoring team in 43rd (22:05.9) and 50th (23:03.6), respectively, while Matilda Bravante crossed in 66th place (25:52.7).
Cuesta's Harriers return to action for the 2024 CCCAA Southern California Regional Championships on November 8 at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga.
