Women's Cross Country returned to the CCCAA State Championship as a team for the first time since 2021 and earned 17th place overall. The Harriers' Top 20 finish give them as even dozen since the turn of the century. 2021 Cuesta Female Athlete of the Year Madeline Fletcher led the Cougars for the fourth straight race and earned all-State honors after finishing 13th overall (19:26.5). Fletcher, who in her previous two starts won a conference title and added all-Region First Team accolades, owns Cuesta's 16th fastest State Meet time, after eclipsing her current teammate Elle Casselman's 2023 State Meet (19:27.0) time by a half-second. Casselman, the 2024 Cuesta Female Athlete of the Year and Cuesta's 21st two-time State Qualifier since 1995, was the second Cuesta Harrier to cross the line with a time of 20:33.5 and in 43rd place. Casselman started the season strong, with three straight Top 10 finishes, but a mid-season injury hampered her title hopes, although she still claimed all-conference and all-Region honors. Freshman Serena Stamford blossomed into a star as she chased two of Cuesta's all-time greats. She joined Casselman on both the all-Conference Second Team and all-Region Honorable Mention, before finishing 77th (21;12.0) at the CCCAA State Meet. Freshman Harriers Quinn Dubrul and Matilda Bravante completed the Cougars' scoring team. Dubrul, who ran track for the Cougars last Spring, finished 159th (24:29.2), while Bravante was a few paces behind her at 167th (26:19.5)
