Cougars Hit the Mats For Wrestling Week- Meathead Mover Invitational

Cuesta Wrestling has a big week at home.  The Grapplers host the 2021 Meathead Mover Invitational this Saturday, while also completing their SouthEast Conference Dual schedule on Friday.  The Meathead Mover Invitational is the premier California Community College Athletic Association event for Wrestling.  The best teams from both the North and South converge on San Luis Obispo for the deepest and most talent-laden event short of the CCCAA State Championship.  The event is sponsored by SLO's own Meathead Moving Company, which is owned by former Wrestlers Aaron and Evan Steed.   Aaron was an All-WSC First Team selection and led the Cougars to a conference title and 6th place at the 1998 State Championships.

The Cougars shall also complete their 2021 SouthEast Conference Dual schedule on Friday.  Their match against West Hills-Lemoore, scheduled for Wednesday, has been moved to Friday, so the Cougars will have two duals the night before the Meathead Invitational.  They open with their previously scheduled bout with Moorpark (6 PM) and then face the Eagles (7 PM).
